A resurrected Berber

After a long military service, much of it spent in the Arabian Gulf States, Yemen and Saudi Arabia, I developed an affininty for the desert, and by association became an avid student of the ancient Egyptian culture, and in particular in the decipherment of hieroglyphs. I have spent many holidays in the Luxor zone, with a short interlude at Aswan. Struggling to master Arabic and absorb the spirituality of my reversion to Islam, in the interim I accept I am a cultural Muslim.
